We have read some days back that Facebook is testing for Reply Button in comments, finally Facebook has officially enabled the comment replies for Facebook pages.
What is Comment Replies for Facebook Pages feature?
According to Facebook Marketing the purpose of comment replies is to increase engagement in Facebook fan pages.
Once you turn on the Replies, your page will show Reply button for the comments made on your page.
Earlier to this feature, only direct commenting was possible, even if the page admin replies. The most active conversations are shown at the top. The comments marked as spam are moved at the bottom. So, now it will be clear for the admins and readers that who is responding to which comment.
Also from now, to talk directly with your fans, you can reply every comment separately which will surely be helpful to increase Fan engagement and reputation of your Facebook Fan page and your brand.
This Comment replies for Facebook pages feature is different from the threaded commenting systems generally we use for websites and blogs like Disqus. Facebook always keep simplicity in their features, while keeping a distinct identity too to keep the users engaged with Facebook and create brand loyalty.
In this comment reply system , you can’t reply to a reply, and again to a reply, which generally happens in threaded commenting systems. But multiple replies can be posted to a single comment they just appear like normal comments, one after another.
How to Turn On Comment Replies Feature?
When you visit your page, Facebook is showing this new feature and option to turn ON Comment replies, currently as shown in the screenshot below.
Alternatively, follow these simple steps,
1. Go to Edit Page at the top of your page.
2. Go to Manage Permissions.
3. Select Turn On Replies.
Impact of Comment Replies Feature on Facebook Pages :
The benefit of this new comment reply feature is that now we can experience sub-discussions in every comment on the main post on Facebook pages. This new feature has increased the importance of Facebook commentators on fan pages and page managers also can get better and more engaged feedback from the users, which will help to improve page performance, Likes, reputation and eventually sales.
This feature of comment replies is not available for personal profiles yet.
